Mayhem hit LAX on Sunday morning after TSA pre-check lanes were halted and Global Entry was disrupted due to the government shut down. Frustrated passengers were trapped in huge lines and many missed their flights after the lanes were closed over the weekend.

WASHINGTON >> The Trump administration reversed course on Sunday on the program that allows millions of airline travelers to get expedited security screening, saying it will remain operational, hours after it said the program would be temporarily suspended amid a shutdown of much of the agency.

Sunday could be a rough day for air travel, between suspended airport fast-tracked services and major weather disruptions.

In a chain reaction of dodged ownership akin to hot potato, the Pentagon referred questions to the Department of Defense’s Northern Command, which redirected questions to the Navy, which in turn sent questions to the White House, CNN reported Monday. The White House has so far failed to share details.
